House Bill 3009 - Exempting the annual parental declaration of intent to home school from the public disclosure act.(this is a pdf file so you will need Adobe Reader, otherwise you may read the Word Version )
This bill specifically lists our personal information on the Declaration of Intent to Homeschool as being exempted from disclosure.
HB 3010 - Prohibiting advertising and marketing to students receiving home-based instruction.
This allows school districts to send homeschoolers an annual informational sheet on programs that may be of interest to homeschoolers. They would not be allowed to sell our information to for profit alternative learning program operators nor to alternative learning programs run by the school. This is in response to years of exclusive marketing to the homeschool community for these programs.
HB 3047 - Requiring disclosure of certain information relating to higher education course materials. (Word verrsion)
Anyone who has searched online for textbooks and has a student in college should appreciate this additional language:
"Disclose information on required course materials including
2 but not limited to title, authors, edition, price, and International
3 Standard Book Number (ISBN) at least four weeks before the start of the
4 class for which the materials are required"
SB 6625 - Regarding parent taught driver training education courses
This would allow a commercially bought, parent taught course in drivers education for our children.

Amends the Ethics in Government Act of 1978 to require recording and filing by each executive branch official with the Office of Government Ethics on any significant contact made between that official and any private party relating to an official government action. Outlines the authorities and responsibilities of the Director of the Office of Government Ethics with regard to such reports.
Amends the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 (LDA) to revise the definition of "lobbying activities" (for purposes of a lobbying firm only) to include paid communications campaigns to influence the general public to lobby Congress.
Redefines "lobbying firm" to include a person or entity retained by one or more clients (other than that person or entity) to engage in paid communications campaigns to influence the general public to lobby Congress, and receives income of, or spends or agrees to spend, an aggregate of $100,000 or more for such efforts in any quarterly period.
